Many have asked me why I became involved in the completion of this book since my background is Iranian. Although I represent neither Black nor White Americans, I do not feel removed from the fundamental issue of race relations in America. When any group of people is suffering, society suffers collectively. Much like when a single part of the anatomy of our body is in pain, our entire being becomes afflicted. Until we collectively feel the pain and effects of racism, or any form of prejudice, we’ll continue to stunt the growth of humanity.
Thus my answer is that I’m already involved!
