"One evening, I walked into Gallery X to attend the opening of a show by one of the gallery artists
and found one of my ten-year old students,
alone amongst adults,
fully engrossed,
looking up at a large painting.
This marked the first time a child had walked in
on her own,
to see art,
at Gallery X."
